  1. I have the Cissy doll with the yellow swing coat, gown and netting. She has her earrings, ring, shoes, etc. How can I find out her worth if I wanted to sell her?
    Thanks

    • Deb, The only way to know the value of a doll, or any other item, is to find out what similar ones have sold for recently. The easiest way for most people to do that is to go to eBay, enter your search term in the box at the top of the screen (in your case I would use “vintage Cissy” because that will weed out the newer ones), select the category (Dolls & Bears), and click on the “Search” button. This will bring you to a page with all the items currently for sale. Ignore these! Someone could be offering a doll for sale for a million dollars, but that doesn’t make her worth that much. You want to go to the left side of the page, scroll down and where it says “Show Only,” select “Completed Items.” This will bring up items that sold, as well as items that didn’t sell. Both of these are important, because if you don’t find one like yours that sold, you might find one that didn’t sell, and that will tell you that however much they were asking, it was too much. So you don’t have to wade through all the listings for clothes and accessories, use the “Sort” box (just above the listings, the default is “Best Match”) to select “Price: Highest First.” This will bring up the dressed dolls at the top of the list. There will probably be several pages of dressed Cissy dolls. The condition of the doll, as well as the rarity of her outfit, will determine the selling price. If you can’t find your exact outfit, look for ones in similar style outfits in similar condition to yours.
