GSDC May Meeting:
It’s Auction Time!

Where: Horseshoe Pond Place, 26 Commercial St., Concord
When: Saturday, May 10;  auction starts promptly at 11 o’clock

Hostesses: Ruth Balla, Heidi Courtemanche, and Dona Stripp

This month will bring our biannual auction. Nancy McKee will once again serve as auctioneer. Members and guests can consign as many as ten items each to the auction - if you have smaller items, they can be put together in a box lot which will count as one item. There is no limit on the number of donations. The auction will begin at 11:00 sharp.

Please bring a bag lunch - drinks and desserts will be provided by our hostesses.

For those bringing items for auction, the doors will open early at 9:30 a.m. to allow everyone to get registered and the items displayed for review.

In advance of the meeting, please fill out a 5” x 7” card, as attached, for each of your items. Then, fill out one more card with a combined list of all your items.  It will assist the auctioneer greatly if you print or write neatly.

10% of the selling price will be going to the Granite State Doll Club as commission. For non-members, there will be a 20% commission on each item sold.

News and Notes

The Annual Meeting in April was a time for tradition and pageantry as Brenda Thomas, UFDC Regional Director, installed our new officers. Many thanks go to Ellen Rule, our outgoing President who did such an outstanding job and made it look easy, which of course it isn’t. Congratulations to each of our new officers. They are: Peg Farwell, President; Dona Stripp, Vice President; Betty Bezanson, Recording Secretary; and Linda Svok, Treasurer.

Thanks also to Zendelle Bouchard who has done a magnificent job with newsletter these past four years and leaves big shoes to fill.

We are pleased to welcome our newest junior member, Hannah Cotelleso of Plymouth, Massachusetts, granddaughter of member Barbara Nobrega, and a collector in her own right.
