GSDC March Meeting:
Ball Jointed Dolls

What is a ball jointed doll? Just the hottest thing to hit the doll world in a long time! These play dolls for adults are well made in many different sizes, and are supremely posable and fun to dress. Come and learn about this latest trend in fashion dolls. Karol Gooch and Ellen Rule will guide us on the journey.
This month, the theme for LeeAnn is "Mod Squad." We will also be discussing the proposed Spring 2009 Regional Luncheon (bring location suggestions) and a helper for this summer's UFDC national convention. |

Granite State News and Notes
Nominating Committee
The nominating committee has been working hard, but is still looking to fill the positions for Recording Secretary and Corresponding Secretary. Committee members are Charmaine Rose, Barbara Nobrega and Betty Bezanson. If you are interested in learning more, please contact one of them.

Spring Meetings
Don't forget our April Luncheon is fast approaching. If you have not sent your registration form to Linda Svok, please do so immediately. There is a link to the form in the Links section at left. And in May, we will have our biennial doll club auction! Nancy McKee will be the auctioneer for a fun filled day of buying and selling. This is one of our club's biggest fundraisers. More info to come in the next newsletter.
Junior Collector Committee
A committee has been formed to explore having a meeting for Junior Collectors. Peg Farwell, Brenda Thomas and Marge Hallyburton are the committee members. If you have ideas, please contact one of them.

Ann Hastings' "Terse Doll History in Verse" has been accepted by UFDC's library. Congratulations Ann!

Farewell to Harlan LaClair
Harlan LaClair, beloved husband of our club member, Flossie, passed away on Friday, February 29 at age 84 after a battle with cancer. Harlan was considered to be an "associate member" of GSDC, as he was with us at nearly every meeting in the past few years. We all appreciated his devotion to helping Flossie enjoy her hobby, and offer our sincere condolences to her and their family. Harlan, we will miss you.
